To understand the RACE ll, we need to go back. Way back. To when this all started. Getting the Rook One series right took some time. We designed, tested, changed and tested again various prototypes. Eventually the Rook One design was finalised. Developing this humble steel frame allowed us to learn even more about different tubing and materials and the seed was planted to build a RACE spec crit frame.
The RACE series is a flex of that knowledge. Using a hyrdoform top tube and carbon fibre fork - we achieved what became an instant favourite. The RACE geometry is aggressive and working together with our factory engineers, the frame has excellent overall stiffness for its weight. This allows for confidence in the skid and power to the road when hammering it.
Introducing the RACE 2. An extension of the RACE series. The RACE series is expensive to produce. We're a small business with big ideas and the core goal of getting more people and better bikes! The RACE 2 does just that. The frame and fork maintain the overall stiffness and aggressive the geometry that the RACE series is known for but at a better price bracket. CHEAPER you say? Yes cheaper, but without any compromise on quality. The hyrdoform top tube and carbon fork we spoke about? Not everyone needs these on their mash around ride - they add cost where you might not need those components. The RACE 1 will live on for those looking for that extra detail, the RACE 2 is its naughty younger brother who gets all the girls.
