This past Sunday saw the 40th (take 2) annual Cape Town cycle tour threading it's way through the Cape peninsula. 30 000+ riders took up the challenge to ride the 100km+ route, but only a select few did so on track bikes!
Wayne Spengler took his Rook Race in fixed mode and pedaled his way to a personal best! For those who don't know, fixed means Spengs pedaled every single meter of the the 100km+ route. Up hills, down hills, 1 gear, no fear, fixed!
Huge props to this legend and his ride of choice. Maybe next year we'll setup an underground track division? 😏
