Alley Cat Survival Guide - Everything you need to know

Alley Cat Survival Guide - Everything you need to know

April 17, 2019

Alley Cat racing is an outlaw / unsanctioned race that sends riders on a mission through the city to various checkpoints. These checkpoints are usually kept secret until the race starts and forces the riders to think quick and ride fast.

Entries are limited so register early to get signed up: Register here

Limited entries available at the shop on the night.

What you’ll need for the Good Friday Race:

  • A bicycle
  • A Smartphone
  • Whatsapp installed
  • A QR code reader app (Iphone does this in the camera app)
  • Some Data on your phone
  • Head protection
  • A pen to check off your list (optional)

How the race works:

  1. Manifest is handed out in sealed envelopes at 18h45
  2. Riders open the manifest to get their first look at all the locations
  3. The race begins and each rider makes his/her own route to the check in locations.
  4. Using your QR code reader, you’ll scan the QR codes at each location to check in. QR codes allow you to join a Whatsapp group named after the location you’re at.
  5. Once you have checked in at all the locations make your way back to the shop to scan the final QR code. This is the finish line.
